Madame Herz und Herr M. was a dramatized concert that blended some of W.A. Mozarts most famous arias and new music by Miika Hyytiäinen with a music history lecture. Composer-singer collaboration in two different centuries was the theme of the evening: W.A.Mozart and his trusted soprano Aloisia Weber worked closely together in the 18th century; mirrored by Miika Hyytiäinen and Sirkka Lampimäki's teamwork while creating new music for this concert.
The story of Aloisia and Wolfgang was told by a narrator voice, meanwhile stage events moved between two time levels. Tenor Olavi Suominen appeared in the role of Mozart, and Sirkka Lampimäki acted the role of Aloisia. Composer Hyytiäinen was on stage as well, both as himself and as the 'Herr M.' in this time. In addition to pointing to the M's of Miika and Mozart, the name of the concert also referred to Mozart's singspiel 'Der Schauspieldirektor': Aloisia sang the role of Madame Herz in it's original production, and appropriately citations from the original piece were included in the program. The Sixth Floor Orchestra was led by Kurt Kopecky, this being the first time the orchestra performed contemporary music.
